Makeup style Spring 2015

Makeup style. I'm always totally out of season for makeup since my favorite part of it is slathering myself in tons of colors using more than 15 different products at a time. An healthy habit. But I though that as I leveled up in makeup recently (+3 charisma, +1 dexterity, -20 GP) I could show you my staple style for the season.

Yes, I shamelessly reuse pictures from my previous post. It's called recycling, ma'am, and it's good for the planet.
My eyebrows are never neat. Maybe I shouldn't be so cheap and actually buy an eyebrow crayon and setting gel ? Meh.
So a Kiko shop opened simultaneously next to my parent's and a few minutes away from my place. I heard the ringing bell of destiny calling me and decided to give it a try. Verdict : I love them. Packaging is super cheap and breakable because it's obviously were they cut the corner but the makeup in itself is way better than your regular "drugstore" makeup like the Sephora line. I find it comfortable, easy to use and not irritating at all. Everything is really pocket sized too, which can be nice if you travel a lot or want to swatch things but can be inconvenient if you tend to be product-fidel/lazy with shopping. They also carry konjac sponges. These things improved my skin so so much in a month span, it's nearly magic. I didn't try everything yet but I look forward to try the gel liner, a few eyeshadows and a mascara soon. For the moment I only tried skin related stuffs.

Not found of the natural style but it's always useful

Anyway, back to the topic. These day I use primers from Kiko, either the City Filter Primer SPF 50 or the Skin Tone corrector in Lilac since my skin is really yellow. I prime my eyes with Kiko's Eye primer and my lips with their neutral Lip base. Then I use my Bourjois L'infaillible stick corrector paired with L'Oréal Nude Magic eau de teint in 120 Pure ivory for a lighter look or Kiko Universal Fit hydrating foundation in 15 Warm beige for more coverage. I finally set it with my Bourjois Silk skin powder, but I feel like a loose powder would be better with the heavier foundation.
I then do my contour and blush with BHcosmetics's Glamourous Blush. I really need a countour-specific palette though.

For my eyes, I usually take three shades from my BHcosmetic BH Day & Night eyeshadow palette. For a natural style I take brown-ish pink, for my usual heavier style I mostly use purple-ish color palette. I do a cat-eye line with Sephora's basic liner in black (I need replacement for it, any idea ?) and apply a few coat of Bourjois Ultra volume Glamour Girl mascara which is not bad at all. I draw my eyebrows on with a beveled brush then thicken them a bit with appropriate eyeshadow.

For a natural look I let my lips untouched or with a slight tip of Bourjois Rose Millésime, for the heavier style I usually wear Revlon Black Cherry.

And we're done ! This is definitely an heavy makeup routine that I wouldn't be able to keep up with if my classes were early in the morning, but I'm having a lot of fun with it. Of course it's not natural at all, but who cares ? I like painting myself, it's really satisfying.

You read it all ? Kuddos, got a present for you :

Fly as hell, eh ? What can't you do with a bit of makeup ?

I hope you guys enjoyed this overly complicated post. See you soon !

Korean beauty products sample review

I bought a bunch of korean products at the end of December. I admit that my beauty routine tend to be super simple and maybe a bit too light for my make up habits and fragile skin. I did a small haul of korean samples so I could try it out, since it was so inexpensive. I'd rather try samples than buy any product generally speaking since my skin is so fragile from eczema and so intolerant to a ton of products thanks to my many allergies.

Few facts :
*my skin is dry to mixed, with dryer patchs and really fragile skin around my eyes.
*I have darker spots and an uneven complexion
*my skin is golden based but is pretty grey and not luminous
*my face is two tone or so darker than my neck
*I take and keep marks pretty easily, could it be from zits or kind of wrinkle-ish folds

Usual routine is :
Neutrogena grapefruit exfoiliating cleansing gel (3 or so time a week)
Body Shop tea tree oil mask in spot treatment for zits
Homemade matcha tea mask twice a week
Medical moisturizing cream

I also use homemade masks depending on the way my skin react. Except that it's not nearly good enought and when I saw my first forehead wrinkle back in December I freaked out and decided to try new products to help my skin aging better.
I come from an home where make up is not really a thing and skin routine is minimalistic, so I may sound stupid in my beauty routine but it's pretty much trial and error right now.

The face shop Heaven grade ginseng whitening skin care set, Skin Food royal honey eye cream, Skin Food Omija Whitening tea toner, Holika Holika bulgarian rose serum, Misshq cherry blossom cleansing foam, Skin Food totmato whitening point pad and free samples The Face shop Deep firming cleansing oil, Heaven grade ginseng anti-wrinkle night cream, mango seed pre-date butter ceam and Tony Moly luminous glow aura CC cream.

First thing first, I glad I did buy samples because tons of my friends swear by Skin Food but I was far from being impressed by their products. I didn't find the tomato whitening point pads to be efficient, the tea toner is too dry for me and the royal honey eye cream literaly burned my eyes to tears, although it was apparently efficient on my naso-labial folds.
No more Skin Food for me, thanks.

On the other hand, I love everything I got from the Face Shop. Their Ginseng line is god sent, my skin did whiten in 10 days of use and it's way smoother and elastic. Their night cream is not too rich but well moisturizing. The mango seed butter cream is awesome and I definitly look forward to buy a full-size jar of it. I was worried about it being too heavy but it's really nice and melt lightly on the face, I loved it. I'm not found of cleansing oils so I only tried it once. Pretty nice but not my thing, clearly.

The Missha foaming cleanser is neat but not for me. It smells a lot like soap and I suspect it to be really base heavy, it dried out my skin a lot.

Personal favourite is Holika Holika bulgarian rose serum. This thing is awesome. It's really lightweight with a faint rose scent, easy to apply and live your skin smooth, elastic and refreshened. I look forward to try some more products from it's line. I find the fullsize jar a bit expensive though.

I did not have the occasion of trying the CC cream yet, I hope the color is not too far off my actual skin color.

Overall, in ten days of use I clearly see a difference and some products were efficient on my skin. I will definitly include a toner and a serum to my normal routine, as well as a new night-cream for extra-moisturizing.
That's all for my, hope this will be of any use guys !

Innocent World lucky pack !

Hey guys ! You may or may not know that I wanted to order an IW lucky pack for a while now. I placed an order for the A size one and infortunatly it was to late, I didn't get it. Nice enought, IW's staff decided to release a blouse lucky pack, only for those who were up in A-size lucky pack waiting list. I said yes, paid 106€ for the package and shipping and were told to wait for a tracking number. I never recieved that tracking number, but I had the chance to catch the post man with my package today ! I had to pay 42€ of customs, but that was pretty predictable.
Let's see what I got.

Just out of the package
I had 4 blouses. Two had tags and were certainly sales's leftover, one had an incomplete tag and one didn't had any, so they most likely were shop samples.

Sailor blouse in blackXwhite

Nice black blouse with an elegant and light sheen on it.

Cream blouse with an incomplete tag

Shiny pearl blouse, I guess it's form the Shantung Dot series.

I couldn't find anything wrong with it, it's all pristine. According from the tags,  the sum of black blouses price is ~184€, the other two didn't have any price. So I suppose I had at least 350€ worth of blouses, which is perfectly fair. I took the pack in S and I worried a bit about the sizing, but eveything fit perfectly.

The pearl blouse is definitly the prettiest of the lot. Fair enought, I would have never baught it, this colour does not really suit my wardrobe nor my style, but both the fabric and lace are awesomely detailled and beautiful. My favourite still is the sailor blouse. I really have a soft spot for sailor things and I can't wait to wear it.
Forgot to say that I of course had a lovely note from IW's staff, as always.

So here we are. I'm super happy with my lucky pack even if it doesn't have anything I really wanted (I need princess sleeves so baaaaaaad). Innocent World blouses are well-made and confortable, and I look forward to acquire new things from them.

Kimono

Yesterday  I recieved my kimono ! I was slightly disappointed by my butterfly kimono, I tought it was a komon but it appeared to be a yukata. It's ok I guess, it's pretty cute and it's really my size. The tsukesage fit well and it's really lovely. The silk (chirizen I guess) is really soft and it's beautifuly made. I guess it's more of a casual tsukesage (no crest and not a lot of golden/silver embroidery), so I may actually be able to wear it easily. It as four season patterns, as a lot of homongi, with cherry blossom, peonie, plum and chrysantem. I was surprised it actually fit well because it's antique Showa and those kimono tend to be a little bit shorter. I manage to get a little ohasori, so it's definitly wearable.

Just tried it on quickly, it isn't well tied and the colour choice is meh :

I really want to wear my pink kimono now, but I gotta find an occasion x.x I also need a proper kanzashi and some white tabi to go with it (I have colorful ones but that's too casual). I would wear it as an everyday clothing but I'm really afraid of damaging it in a way or another...
I guess that as I paid way more for my lolita dresses and I still wear it on a daily basis, I should not be afraid...Plus I also wear my other kimono when I feel like it. I'm kind of torn about that.

Anyway, I'm super happy my packages arrived this quickly. I'm still waiting for a few ones (my last batch before next sales), I hope I'll recieve all of it before christmas !

Make-up and skin care routine

Hi everyone. I recieved my new make-up just a few days ago, so I figured out I might show you my skin care and make up routine. I do a full face make-up every day, so I try to take care of my skin, I don't want to age too fast.

So, twice a week I wash my face and scrub it with some Yves Rocher products. I'm not a fan of this shop at all (the make-up are pretty bad), but I did try a few of their face mask and day cream and they really fit my skin as far as cheap products go.
I use a wet face cloth to soften my skin. Then, I use "Peeling netteté végétale", a light and gentle face scrub with cereals.

After that, a "masque-film pureté végétale", a face mask which left my skin really fresh and soft. It tighten the pore a lot.

When I take a long shower or a bath during the week, I sometimes use Diadermine's "strips purifiants" on my nose. They are not efficient unless you skin's pores are already softened by steam.

For my day cream, it depend on the season. In spring/summer, I need something a little bit acidic a really light so I use Neutrogena's Visibly clear grapefruit day cream. It's very light and fresh, and live my skin radiant.

For winter time, I use and heavier, richer day cream. I've recently switched for Cien's moisturizing cream. I'm ok with it, it's neither good nor bad and does it job well.

After that it's time for make-up. As a foundation I use a BB cream for spring/summer and an heavier cream for autumn/winter.

The heavier one really covers a lot. I took mine way to light for my skin but it doesn't show trought it !

Then I use a powder. I took the lighter shad. It smell really good, and it looks great.

I need to buy some new eyeshadows and blush, maybe a palette during next sales ?

For the eye make up, I use mostly these but I've a few more products.

I have a few lipstick, but I mostly use gloss. I usually buy a few Clinique gloss in the duty free area every time I travel, so I have the tiny little travel size glosses.

Here we are for my skin care and make up routine. I don't have any "big brand" make up (except Clinique glosses), but most of it is made in France with a good quality control and it's pretty good. I look forward to try asian brand make up, but at the moment I'm pretty ok with what I have.

Bodyline shoes 274 review

I've ordered these shoes from Bodyline some times ago in both red and pink, and I think I should give you a review.

So these shoes are in the lolita section, referenced SHOES274. They are listed in black, white, grey, navy, brown, red and pink.

I'm size 23.5 so I ordered it this exact size and it was the good one. They do feel a bit tight on the first or second try but it's because of the rigid pleather I guess, because I didn't get any blister with it.

As for the color, stock picture is pretty accurate. I feel like on the red shade the enamel + vibrant crimson color is a bit much, it does feel a bit costumey.

The shoes are really stiff and plastic-y, but for 40$ I guess that's ok. Overall it's comfy and easy to wear, resistant, but I definitly like the pink color way more than the red one.
