Meet ups

I feel like I have to astrain myself to post once a week for at least the few next monthes, or I'll have way too much things to say and will forget stuff...

Anyway, last saturday I was on a day out with darling Myriam and her friends Kourai, Aelin, Angélique and Peggy. Myriam was recording with TV Tokyo for a show about France, her segment was about Japan loving french people. We first met at Baby (I was sooo late, sorry once again girls ;_;) and took group pictures as well as some footage. I got interviewed, and answered all in japanese ! I was so stressed out my voice became super high pitched, I'm totally gonna look and sound stupid.

We then walked to Princess Crepe (it's a real lolita hq) and my feet were aching because I went with stupidly high heels despite Myriam's warning (I'm not a clever person ok ?). I was happy to have the occasion of talking a bit more to Aelin ! We've been in the same community for years and years, crossing each other multiple times and never really met, which is a shame. Sadly she had to leave earlier for work related reason, but what a pleasure chatting with her.

At Princess Crepe the lovely crew offered to pay for our crepes and we were soon joined by Loliz, who had a wonderfully soft and elegant outfit that day.

They then asked us who hasn't been in Japan yet, and the three of us who didn't had to say why did they want to go. I said that I wanted to learn more about folk culture and fashion in Japan. They filmed a bit more, then payed us good bye after gifting each of use a nice tenugi (japanese fabric handkerchief).

My OOTD

On sunday I organized a tea-tasting meetup in one of my favourite tea place in the whole city : la Maison des Trois Thés, a chinese tea room specialised in Pu-er auctions. The place is downright gorgeous and so soothing ! It was quite an uncommon place for a tea party, but definitely a one of a kind experiment.

I warned before hand the guest that this was not your regular tea party, no cakes or cookies on the table and no sugar in your tea. Instead, the nice employees guide you through a menu of dozens and dozens of precious chinese tea, providing a tasting experiment tailored to your desires and perfectly accessible to non-experts.

We were a table of eight and settled up for a jasmine white tea as a starter then two different oolong, a Ti Kuan Yin (roasted, heavy oolong with cerealy notes) for half the guest and a lighter, green oolong with at first a mimosa then a slight coconut and caramel after taste for the other half (Jin Shuan ?).

 The nice waitress demonstrated each type of infusion while explaining in details what happened and then assisted us in our first infusion. A second waitress was in charge of refilling the four heavy kettles and braseros of the table. They also had us try one of their limited series of Taiwanese fruit jam. It was litteraly to die for.

After that we took a few outfit pictures in the Jardin des Plantes not so far, and we parted up. A few of us wanted to eat an Angel Cake at Ciel, but infortunaly they didn't have any room for us.

I'm really an anxious person so I tend to avoid organizing meets, but I had so much fun and everything went so smoothly I'm already working on a few new things. I'm trying to think outside of the box and avoid touristic spots/rehashed themes and places. I've got a few ideas already, need to proof-test them firstly though.

Happy New Year 2015 !

It's the beggining of a new year, yay ! I feel old, but that's ok I guess.

Let's draw this year's record.

What happened :
*Both my tumblr and my blog gained in popularity, I like think that's because I actually took time and try to update and improve my content.
*I changed my makeup foundation and learned new tricks. As trivial as it may sound, as I don't shoop my pictures (I note them as edited if I do anything else than rotate them) good make up is really important !
*Thanks to the photography club at my school, I learned to use my camera better and it's tons of fun.
*I met a loooot of wonderful people. Parisian community is not one and unique as certain comms can be, and as it's more groups of friends than anything I'm pretty happy I found mine.
*I've become better at kimono styling. I still have a lot of things to work on, but my wardrobe is getting great.
*I cut my haiiiiiiiir. Last time I've been to the hairdresser I was in my first year of high school. I used to have kinky hair as a child, so I really don't like going to the hairdresser. New hair cut totally worth it tho.
*I enlarged my wardrobe's variety of style. Goth, punk/grunge, high fashion, lolita, natural kei, akamoji, retro, rave. Lot of styles. Even if it's only one or two outfits, it's ok, I just want to try different things.

This year's most viewed article is of course my post on Wa-lolita. I'm really happy to see that you liked it, I put a lot of efforts in it. I know the outfit really seems simple (you should be used to simple with me by now) but it actually take in account a lot of different lolita and kimono rules, so I'm happy it worked out.

What I want to do next year :
 *Stop buying main pieces and focussing on accessories, both in kimono and lolita (that's never gonna happen).
*Go to Japan ! I'm buying my tickets really soon and I'm so excited and I need to plan the trip and I need to keep a bit of money aside for lolita and kimono and the weeb deep in my heart is screaming in joy. Don't judge me ok ?
*Learn a fifth language and maybe stop butchering Spanish so much.
*Make a kimono club at my uni. I'm planning it through the japanese cultural association, hope it'll work !
*Take a cultural activity like tea ceremony or motherf*cking koto (best instrument ever) because reason.
*Find summer job.
*Actually succeed classes I enrolled to.
 
 Aaaand that's all.

I'm super grateful for the wonderful year we had together, thank you guys for following me and being friends with me ! I wish you every good thing on Earth for your New Year and look forward to see you again soon.

I had a wonderful christmas with my family in my home town. We had so much food <3 I fell in love with a great wine :

Then I headed back to my flat to have a small New Year's Eve party with my roommate, her boyfriend and my boyfriend.

Puis je suis retournée à mon appartement pour fêter le nouvel an avec ma colloc, son copain et le mien.

And I recieved today my new tights from Forever 21 ! I'm so glad they now have a shop in France, even if the quality isn't really good they have some awesome design.

I need a book bag to go with that, I want to make a "librarian lolita" look, the headbow as some cute little handwritting on it. Really simple and classic outfit, it's one of my basics everyday coordinate now.

J'ai besoin d'un sac-livre pour aller avec ça, j'aimerais bien tester un style "bibliothécaire loli", surtout que ce petit headbow à un motif écrit dessus. C'est vraiment un style simple et très classic, une de mes tenues de base pour tous les jours.

It's been a while since I've last posted the valentines I recieved, so I must do it now.

Ca fait un bout de temps que je n'ai pas posté les valentines que j'ai reçu afin de remercier leurs auteurs convenablement, du coup voilà.

Vintage style kimono and Lolita meeting

Hi everyone ! I had a pretty event heavy week-end, it was nice <3 I'm still waiting for a few package, but I got my Lush order this morning, I'm really happy, I look froward to make a review later on.

Salut tout le monde ! J'ai eu un week-end assez agité, mais je me suis bien amusée <3 J'attends encore quelques paquets, mais j'ai reçue ma commande Lush ce matin, j'espère pouvoir faire une review bientôt.

Sunday afternoon, Konstanz's birthday. As it was in a quite fancy restaurant, I choose to wear my beloved kimono in a antique Shôwa style (that deep purple obi is so retro). I was super happy to meet her lovely friends, they are really funny and nice.

Dimanche après-midi, pour l'anniversaire de Konstanz. Comme c'était dans un restaurant un peu chic, j'ai choisis de porter mon kimono adoré dans un style Shôwa (avec une ceinture obi très rétro). J'ai été super heureuse de rencontrer ses amies qui étaient toutes adorables et très amusantes.

 Yesterday (sunday) we had a little lolita meet-up with the lovely Angela from Australia. We had some crêpe and did some shopping and sightseeing in Paris.

Everyone was really well dressed, and they all had some wonderful items. Angela's Musée de chocolat tights, Tro-tro's mermaid dress, Sandra's Axes femme dress, Nelly's wonderful Excentrique corset and Charlotte's lovely Liz Lisa cardigan were all awsome ! I really had a good time with them all. We spend the meet trying to get Angela to understand us dispite our awfull english, I really hope she didn't get lost in our chitchats...

Tout le monde était bien habillé et elles avaient toutes des items de fifous ! Les collants Musée de chocolat d'Angela, la robe sirène de Tro-tro, la Axes Femme de Sandra, le merveilleux corset Excentrique de Nelly et l'adorable cardigan Liz Lisa de Charlotte, tout ça c'était génial ! Je me suis beaucoup amusée avec elles. Nous avons passé tous le meeting à essayer de nous faire comprendre de la pauvre Angela malgré notre anglais assez horrible, j'espère de tout mon coeur qu'elle ne s'est pas trop perdue dans la conversation...

Two weeks ago it was my birthday, I spent it eating fondue and tasting tea in a great chinese tea saloon as said previously.

Il y a deux semaines c'était mon anniversaire, je l'ai passé à manger de la fondue et à essayer des thés chinois étranges comme expliqué précédemment.

 

Some friend of mine gifted me wonderful present, and I can't resist to show it and thanks them again, because they were totaly wonderful.

Quelques un de mes amis m'ont fait des cadeaux magnifiques et adorables, et je ne peux pas résister à l'envie de vous les montrer et de les remercier de nouveau.

 

 

 

Presents from my childhood friends : saku saku panda biscuits, ichigo ramune soda, haichu ichigo candy, a manga adaptation of Burton's Nightmare before christams and a sushi making set.

Mes amis d'enfance m'ont offert un tas de trics : des biscuits saku saku panda, des bobons à la fraise Haichu, de la limonade au ramune et à la fraise, une adaptation en manga de l'étrange noël de Mr.Jack et un set pour faire des sushi.

Raphi gifted me some really good tea from and organic brand I did'nt know. Agrums tea, violet and raspeberry tea, a mint flavored roïboos and some Darjeeling.

Raphi m'a offert de très bon thé d'une marque bio que je ne connaissais pas du tout. Un thé au agrumes, un à la violette et à la framboise, un roïboos à la menthe et un Darjeeling.

Finally Konstanz found for me a beautiful Mary Magdalene rounddress when she was in Japan, it's so pretty <3
